Morningside Senior Wins National Contest for AgTech Startup

Josh Doering, a senior business administration major at Morningside College, won the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization 2016 Pitch Competition.

Doering has developed and marketed Seed Slide, a device that allows farmers to safely open and unload large seed boxes.

A panel of judges awarded Doering the first-place prize of $3,500 after hearing 80 college entrepreneurs from around the country pitch their startup business ideas.

In December 2015, Doering won the top prize in the Future Founders’ UPitch competition in Chicago.
