Coworking space to open in downtown Sioux City

From a Press Release issued by Diane Daby, owner of Springboard Coworking.

We’re happy to announce a new addition to the downtown Sioux City business landscape – Springboard Coworking – a collaborative office space that combines the best of café culture with a productive, functional, and affordable work environment.

Springboard Coworking is owned by Diane Daby, and is set to open Oct. 1. Daby, who also will manage operations, said the aim is to make the shared office one where startups, small business teams and non-profits can work independently, yet be able to share their skills with others who might benefit.

“This is a new kind of office space for Sioux City,” Daby said. “Springboard is a shared office space for entrepreneurs, freelancers, independents, and any form of career nomad who is looking for a vibrant community and a space for collaboration.”

Daby added: “It’s targeted at small and emerging businesses who have a limited budget, yet need the amenities a large office provides.”

Located on the 2nd floor of the Stifel Nicolaus building, at 700 4th Street, the workspace has 11 desks spread over 1,466 sq. feet. Each desk is available for rent on a monthly or contract basis. Each full-time desk is outfitted with a chair and a two-drawer filing cabinet that locks.

Additionally, the office has a front reception area, large and small meeting rooms, a lounge area where wi-fi is available, and a kitchen.

Members will pay determined on their need – $20 for daily use, $60 for part-time usage to $250 a month for full-time access to all amenities. Large and small conference rooms also will be available to the public for rent on an hourly or daily basis.

“We are really excited to be introducing something new at this time in Sioux City,” Daby said. “We believe that the startup community is just beginning to blossom, and Springboard is a crucial part of making that happen.”

Springboard Coworking space is being promoted as part of Launch Week in Sioux City, a week of entrepreneurial-minded events and activities aimed at helping promote startups, innovation and small business growth.
